By now, most people have heard of fruit infused water or simply adding fruit to your water. This is a great way to add some flavor and variety to your daily intake. If you are like me, you get bored with drinking plain water day after day. I’ve found that by adding different types of fruit to my pitcher it really helps me to achieve my daily goal. I love drinking water during the summer when the temperatures are high but during the cooler times of the year, not so much.
Some of my favorites to add are mint, strawberries, cucumbers, pineapples, mangoes and ginger. I fill up my pitcher in the evening and let it sit in the refrigerator over night before drinking it. You will get much more of the fruit flavor when you let it sit for a few hours before drinking.
If you are having a problem getting your 8 glasses of water down each day, I highly recommend adding fruit. Get creative with your flavors. There is a lot of information available on the internet about the benefits as well as tasty fruit combinations.
