Duran Sandwiches New York; Unique European open faced sandwiches set up a beautiful display of their food at my job recently. The presentation was stunning. Everything was perfectly arranged, the colors were vibrant and nothing was out of place. Tom was extremely friendly and gracious. He allowed me to photograph all of the trays before he started selling the food. He took his time to explain each sandwich to me in detail. It is little things like that which make you want to patronize a business.
Pictured below in my lunch box from left to right are: Lobster Salad, Roast Beef, Avocado, Smoked Eggplant and Traditional Hungarian Salami.
The Traditional Hungarian Salami was very enjoyable. The bread was soft and the salami had a nice flavor, not too salty. The sandwich I enjoyed most of all was the Roast Beef. It was topped with tartar sauce and thinly sliced red onion. I would never think to put tartar sauce on roast beef but it was excellent. I was tempted to remove the onion but I am glad I didn’t. Believe it or not it was the perfect compliment to the tartar sauce. It all worked well together. The Lobster Salad was my second favorite. The eggplant was just ok and I love eggplant so I was slightly disappointed. The avocado was my least favorite of them all. It was served on a slightly harder bread and the avocado was a bit too tart for my taste.
Overall this was a big hit with me. They offered a nice assortment of sandwiches including vegetarian options so there is something for everyone.
Ladies, this is a very nice idea for a baby shower or any other type of event. You can make it as simple or complex as you’d like.
Enjoy the pictures~Allison
