I wish I could take credit for finding this hidden gem, but I can’t. All credit and thanks go to my friend Rene. She discovered this restaurant while searching for a place for us to meet and catch up over lunch.

La Villetta is a quiet restaurant located on Fulton Street in Farmingdale. There isn’t much to catch your attention when driving by, but they have my full attention after enjoying such a delicious lunch. I have not been during dinner hours, but I love the atmosphere during lunch. It is laid-back, so you can relax, enjoy your meal and have a nice conversation. The servers are extremely courteous and attentive.

The restaurant offers an amazing 3 course lunch special for an excellent price. I’ve had a lot of prix fixe lunch specials over the years, but the quality of this food was exceptional, much better than I expected. To start, the server brought us a basket of bread. I don’t know about you, but I can’t resist the bread baskets! For my first course I ordered a Caesar salad. My salad was fresh and tasty.  On two of my visits I selected the chicken entrée. I enjoyed both, but the chicken topped with spinach was phenomenal. That small roasted potato was out of this world. I was sorry I only had one.

The main event…dessert. Look at that slice of chocolate cake. It is as velvety and smooth as it looks in the picture.

I enjoy La Villetta so much I have gone for lunch by myself! I am all in for good food, service and quality. I’ve added this to the top of my list of favorites. I give them 5 stars. I’ll continue to be a repeat customer for sure.
