Sprinkles – Las Vegas, NV

I finally made it out to Las Vegas after many years of wanting to go. No trip is ever complete for me without seeking out the best dessert in town. My friend suggested going to Sprinkles for some cupcakes. Great suggestion! The location was excellent. As you can see from the pictures, the interior as well as the exterior are bright and inviting. My favorite feature, the 24-hour cupcake ATM!!!!  Thank you Sprinkles for making it possible for foodies like me to get our cupcake fix after the store has closed.

I believe I have eaten cupcakes from Sprinkles before but I had never been to any of their locations. They had a nice variety of flavors. There are more flavors listed on the wall than were available that day but they still had a large enough variety to choose from. Red velvet is always first on my list so I immediately asked for one. Next on my list of favorites is chocolate so I opted for the Dark Chocolate. I wanted to try something new and out of the ordinary so I chose the Cuban Coffee cupcake. As my last option I selected Chocolate Marshmallow.

Much to my surprise, my favorite was Cuban Coffee. The cake itself was extremely soft and moist. The flavor was great. The icing was sweet but not too sweet where I didn’t want to eat all of it.  Next, I have to say I enjoyed the Red Velvet. It was better than the average Red Velvet cupcake you can get just about anywhere.  Unfortunately, I was not a fan of either of the chocolate cupcakes.  That was a big surprise because I am a chocoholic so I am usually happy to get my hands on anything chocolate. Fortunately, the other two cupcakes were so delicious, Sprinkles redeemed themselves.

The Cuban Coffee cupcake was so good, before leaving Vegas we stopped at Sprinkles to get some cupcakes to take home. Luckily enough, Sprinkles has a location in Penn Station which makes it very convenient for me to get some almost any day of the week. I am not sure if that is a good or bad thing yet. This is going to be a test of my willpower!

Enjoy.
