Pillsbury Apple Crescent Dumplings

Pillsbury Apple Crescent Dumplings have been around for decades. This was a regular dessert in my house as a child. I have fond memories of my sister making these for us on a Friday or Saturday night. They didn’t last very long. As soon as they came out of the oven we devoured them and always asked for more.

I was in the mood for dessert recently and these apple dumplings came to mind. I really love these because not only are they heavenly, these are quick and easy to make. Pillsbury has the recipe on their website, Pillsbury.com, but I don’t follow it exactly. I take a short cut and just sprinkle brown sugar on top of the dumplings, add butter and orange juice to the pan and bake at 350 degrees until golden brown. I like to use orange juice because it makes more sauce and gives it additional flavor.

I eat these fresh out of the oven and top them with ice cream, whipped cream or both. These are mouthwatering. You can’t eat just one.

So simple yet so delicious!!!!
