During my last trip to Albany, my daughter and I had dinner at City Line Bar & Grill. It was located next door to our hotel so we walked over after a long day to get a bite to eat. The place was packed inside and out. There is a deck in the back of the restaurant which was filled with people mixing and mingling. The atmosphere was lively and everyone was having a great time. We were lucky enough to get a seat out on the deck so we could enjoy both the atmosphere and the weather.
My daughter ordered the Mac & Cheese burger and fries which was a fried mac & cheese ball on top of the burger. I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy with fries. The shrimp were Cajun seasoned with a creamy Creole sauce and arugula. The bread was soft, just how I love it. The Cajun spice was just enough and the Creole sauce was smooth and tasty. Everything was enjoyable.
There were so many items on the menu that appealed to me I had a hard time choosing. I will keep this restaurant in mind when I return in the Spring. Located across the street from SUNY Albany makes it very quick and easy to get to.
